InstaCarma provides for our fast-growing web hosting company an unbeatable team of sysadmins and support technicians who are competent, fun, knowledgeable, trustworthy, and willing/able to learn. We are growing into the Ruby on Rails market, for example, and have seen technicians trained on site by InstaCarma to respond to support questions ranging from tweaking custom rake tasks to fixing failed Capistrano deploys. Their ability to communicate effectively with clients while simultaneously watching Nagios (server monitoring) and troubleshooting DNS and mail problems, for example, is remarkable. We recently had a technician solve (on his own initiative) moving thousands of zone files off a failing critical nameserver to a new custom-built server to handle the load and attacks we were receiving. He effectively rerouted everything so the transition was seamless and proactively changed the clustering and firewall settings across our entire server fleet to keep us protected.
